FAQ - How do I move News Rover to my new computer?
It's pretty easy to transfer News Rover
to a new computer.
Follow these steps in order:
1. Copy the directory where you installed News Rover from
the old computer to the new computer. Normally this directory is
C:\Program files\NewsRover\ Be sure to copy all files and sub-directories.
Make sure the folder on the new computer is on the same disk drive
(C:, D:, etc.) and has the same name.
2. Download the full installation file for News Rover from our web site
and install it onto the new computer. When you do the install
for the new version, make sure it goes into the same directory that
you copied over in step 1. It is necessary to do this to initialize
Registry entries. Installing the new version will not alter
your current configuration (subscribed newsgroups, messages, etc.).
