FAQ - Using News Rover with America Online (AOL)
Unlike virtually all other Internet Service Providers, AOL does not provide
access to a standard NNTP Usenet News Server as part of their service.
So it is not possible to use news readers like News Rover directly with AOL.
However, we have many News Rover customers who use AOL as their ISP.
What they do is subscribe to a national news server such as
Giganews.
You still connect to the Internet through AOL, but News Rover then establishes a
connection to the news server.
