Downloads - Upgrade to News Rover Version 13.3 Rev. 1
If you are licensed for version 13.x you do not need to get a new key.
Just download and install the upgrade file.
If you are licensed for version of News Rover before 13.0, you must obtain
a new key before you can run the new version.

Note: Do not uninstall your old version, just install the new version over
the old version in the same folder. Your existing configuration, interest
groups, messages and files will not be erased.
Firewall Settings
When you install a News Rover upgrade, the NewsRover.exe program file is
replaced by the new version. If you are using a firewall program like
ZoneAlarm or Norton Personal Firewall, you need to tell the firewall program
to allow the new NewsRover.exe program to make outgoing Internet connections.
If you don't, you will likely see a message saying News Rover is unable to
translate the name of the Usenet news server or it is unable to connect to
the news server.
Upgrade Instructions
- Make sure News Rover is not currently running.
- Download News Rover (nrsetup.exe, about 8 MB) from one of our FTP sites
- Download from site 1
(usually fastest)
- Download from site 2
- Execute the downloaded file (nrsetup.exe).
- Specify the same installation directory where the previous version
was installed. (This will be selected for you by default.)
