System Requirements for News Rover
- Windows 95/98/ME/2000/2003/NT/XP/Vista/Windows 7.
- At least 256 MB of memory (1 GB recommended).
- 20 MB of disk space plus however much space is required for
downloaded messages and files.
- Connection to an Internet provider with a Usenet news server.
If you are licensed for an earlier version of News Rover, you are eligible
for a free or inexpensive upgrade. Please see our
upgrade page
for information about upgrading.
We do not have a version of News Rover for Linux or the Macintosh.
Installation instructions
Download News Rover (nrsetup.exe, about 5 MB) from one of our FTP sites:

- Execute the downloaded file (nrsetup.exe).
- Wizards will guide you through using News Rover.
- Extensive help documentation is available in the program.
