Features - Scheduled Execution
If you wish, you can set up a schedule of times to run News Rover.
You also can specify the Windows dial-up Internet connection that is to
be used to connect to your Internet provider.
At scheduled times, News Rover dials your Internet provider and downloads
messages and files until it is scheduled to stop.
At that time
it disconnects from your Internet provider and hangs up. Information
about its progress through the newsgroups is saved so that News Rover
can continue its message scan when the next scheduled run time arrives.
You can set up News Rover so that
is runs automatically while you are sleeping or at work, but cause it
to stop during times when you may need to use your phone line for other
purposes.
Note: Scheduled execution of News Rover is available with both the
Windows 95 and Windows NT versions. However, the feature that causes
News Rover to initiate a dial-up connection is currently available only
in the Windows 95 version. With the Windows NT version, you must initiate
the connection to your Internet provider before running News Rover.
