News Rover Download Problems
Our FTP download sites are hosted on different computers run by different
companies located in different states. We check the sites often to make
sure that they are all up and running. So if you can't download from any of
the sites, there must be something on your computer that is blocking the
download.
If you are using any sort of "download accelerator," please try turning it
off and then doing the download.
Several customers have told us that McAfee or ZoneAlarm firewall software
turned out to be blocking their downloads. So if you use McAfee firewall,
ZoneAlarm, Norton Personal Firewall or any other firewall software, please try
turning it off temporarily or reducing its restrictions temporarily.
The next thing to consider is whether your anti-virus software might be
blocking the download. One customer told us that McAfee's software blocked
his download until he turned it off temporarily.
